Nowadays, Although it seems like a popularity of lightening of automotive parts, totally is needed because it helps to reduce fuel consumption. Why it is needed because future wants it. Producing automotive parts with composite material is the top of the top ten list of lightening technologies. Almost every material of automotive parts could be turned in to composite, if their design could be changed. The leaf spring almost the most heavyweight part that could be produced with composite material. However the biggest problem of especially longitudinal leaf spring is producing its eye. The currently used leaf spring design is the same design as the first car of 1890’s Mercedes. In this presentation you are going to see revolutionary technique they will destroy all old knowledge on design and manufacturing of longitudinal composite leaf spring.
